KT Boards
Based on manufacturing processes, KT boards can be divided into cold-laminated boards (cold-sheet) and hot-laminated boards (hot-sheet). Cold-laminated boards generally have a single-layer core, requiring double foaming before applying adhesive and laminating a PVC film. Hot-laminated boards involve first foaming PS granules into a core, then curing it and thermally fusing it with the PS surface using a mold. In addition, there are various other types, including screen-printed KT boards, mounted KT boards, paper-faced KT boards, high-density KT boards, colored KT boards, export-grade KT boards, and self-adhesive KT boards.
• Sizes: Common domestic sizes are 900mm×2400mm×5mm and 1200mm×2400mm×5mm. Common export sizes include 912mm×2440mm×5mm and 1220mm×2440mm×5mm, as well as smaller sizes such as A1, A2, A3, and A4, with thicknesses ranging from 3mm to 10mm.
• Features: Inexpensive, easy to process, and lightweight, but with relatively poor strength, it cannot be bent and is opaque. It also possesses environmentally friendly, fireproof, waterproof, moisture-proof, heat-insulating, energy-saving, mildew-proof, insect-proof, and aging-resistant properties.
• Applications: Widely used in advertising displays and promotions, signage production, architectural decoration, cultural arts, packaging, printing, and other industries. It is also commonly used in DIY projects, such as model airplane making, cosplay props, and toy models. It can also be used as a picture frame backdrop.
